And it goes like this:
Dear Mr Morrison,
Congratulations! You have been chosen to recieve the Missoula (Montana) Historic Preservation Award for Excellence in the category of the “Centennial Award” for your efforts at 319 South Fifth West. The Missoula Historic Preservation Advisory Commision would like to honor your role in this project, along with other award winners, at the Missoula Historic Preservation Awards Ceremony to be held Friday, May 14th at 7:00pm at the Boone & Crockett Club, Old Milwaukee Station, 250 Station Drive.
The celebration will be casual with a slide presentation of all the winning projects and a presentation of the awards. Blahh blah blah…
The Preservation Commision thanks you for your efforts in this award-winning endeavor. Your concern for historic preservation will be appreciated by the entire community for years to come.
Sincerely,
Allan Mathews
Missoula Historic Preservation Officer
Pretty Cool huh?
My girlfriend flew off to Missoula a couple of days ago to pick up our awards (she got one too) while I’m here in Tennessee pouring footings.
and eating dinner at Hooters every night…
I’ll try to get some pictures up.
Ahhhhh, recognition at last!
My price just went up!
Glowingly,
Dan

Congratulations Dan, sounds pretty cool to me too. Raise those prices tomorrow.Vince
*Hey Dan - Those pictures you plan to post..........Are they of the project, or the girls at Hooters ??????(-:
*Congratulations Dan! It almost makes you forget about wanting to change careers for something that pays more for less work.Seems that last time I was in Tennesee they didn't have Hooters but instead a place called Toots (just as nice if not better). I spent 2 days from morning to night in there (different line of work then) with no complaints other than the rock hard wood benches.Pete Draganic
*I'll try to smuggle in a camera tomorrow night Ron...
*Thanks Pete.My other choice of careers is as a musician which is less money for drunk work...But yes, Hooters is well established here in Nashville.Dan
*Dan that's something to be proud of there guy. Stop by here one day and I'll buy you a drink. Makes it all seem worth it sometimes
*Gotcha. Buy me a drink. Thanks Bill!
