I finished nailing up my roof and wall sheathing yesterday and only got the roof dried in with tar paper before it began raining. The wall sheathing is 1/2″ osb. I am not sure whether to be concerned about the moisture on the sheating, there is quite alot of rain falling.

Don'y worry about it. It should be able to take days and days of water. If something goes wrong with your sheathing, then something was wrong with the sheathing from the start if it can't handle some rain.
Does the fact that it's osb count as there being something wrong with the sheathing? ;-)
No, it doesn't count at all. Some of the absolute worst problems I have had with sheathing were with delaminated plywood (subfloor). CDX wall/roof sheathing is often not flat so is more difficult to install, and gets worse with ain on the pile before it is installed. Live and learn.
Lumber pile should be covered with a tarp overnight and especially if there's a chance of rain or racoons with bladder problems.
yes, OSB is mostly crap to begin with
See framers first repy - it something goes wrong with it from being wetted, there was something wrong with it in the first place. But, for the OP, tarpaper should do fine for protecting it - if applied right with lapps facing down, etc.

I had a house closed in on Saturday but not papered. It rained about 1/2" today. Water on the OSB had not crossed my mind. This happens all the time.
