During framing of our two story house (with full basement) we got hit by four “toad strangling” rains followed by a week of high humidity. As a result, the sub-floors and floor joists have been damp and are showing signs of mildew. The floors are sound structurally but we’re concerned about the long-term effects of this mildew on the wood and on air quality. As home ownerss we would appreciate any advice as to how we can deal with this problem.
