   Hollow cored and ceramic coated?

   Or up this way last year had to drill some when investigating as a bee problem was occuring.

   Standard construction strength block I'm thinking was done more for the cosmetic effect as a finished wall.

   That same larger than normal block size so perhaps it isn't necessarily native to Portugal and was just a common building supply at the time.

   The block isn't big........the cars are small.A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.

   I think that those are the plastic snap together toy blocks (can't remember the name) and the cars are Hot Wheels..

   I am guessing that they are somekind of autcalved concrete blocks. AAC? or ACC?

   A few brands show up in the US, but they are not very common. Probably fall into the same class as RASTA blocks.

   It appears that they are dry stacked.

   Ah, that's one of the pictures of that barn in Portugal that's been going around the Internet recently...

   For others who haven't seen them yet, the story goes that someone bought a farm in Portugal and there was this large barn with the doors welded shut.  When they got the doors opened they found the barn was filled with all kinds of old cars that had been hidden away in there for years and possibly decades.  Some of them are pretty ordinary, but the majority look to be worth a lot of money - there are a bunch of vintage Porsches, Alfa Romeos, etc.

   Don't know - but it sure seems they produce a lot of dust - see foreground cars.

   I don't think that is structural, or even a facia block.  I think it is a foam block appied to the inner surface for insulation.  I've seen cold warehouses that looked similar.
