Helo all,
I have two bathrooms that are being tiled and will have extra floor and wall tiles. I intend to keep some of each around just incase, but would like to know what you guys would recomend for projects that I could use the extra tile for.
Because all of the tile is special order, none of it can be returned even if the box is unopened.
Thanks in advace for the help, turtleboy

You could make a nice table top or counter top. You could even smash them for a different tabletop effect.
Perhaps use them in the backsplash area in a kitchen or pantry.
They make a good heat shield for torch work. Just secure them over flammables with clamps, or drill a few holes and use drywall screws. Can often be easier to use than the fabric type of shields, and they do not wear out.

You can probably donate the tile somewhere, I don't know where you live but there is probably a place like the Boston Materials Resource Center near you; if you are from Mass, they are, well, here: http://www.bostonbmrc.org/bostonbmrc/index.html
You get a nice potential tax write-off for your donation

If you have border tiles, you can frame the mirror. Or tile the foyer. Or donate to Habitat for Humanity.
When I tried to donate 30 sq feet of tile to H for H they didn't want it. They said that it was too expensive to install.
That's too bad. But I understand. The homeowners have to pay for the house, and every penny matters to the type of folks who qualify.
I'm saving all the left over tiles, even the broke ones and putting them in buckets for my new countertop.

Around here it's common to see HO's advertising leftovers. People like me gather them in. I needed 1500' for a pool. Didn't much matter the color, underwater.

This is what we did. The tile sat in the garage for a couple years before we got around to doing anything with it. I need to build a new base for the table (heavy) and the edges are a little rougher than I'd like. The table is perfect for our backyard deck and works well - most visitors comment (and many actually compliment :-) us on it.
These weren't leftover tiles but leftovers could be used. I made this as a gift and several people asked me for prices - lol. I also made some lazy susans in the same style.
