what gauge of corrugated siding is best
Hello,
We are working on a cottage and will be installing some 7/8″ corrugated siding very soon. My question is what gauge should we use. These 7/8″ corrugated panels are not intended to be structural but I would like to use a gauge that is thick enough to prevent dings & dents (i.e. falling branches, ladders etc…). I was thinking of going with 22 gauge – what do you think?
Thanks

You would be hard pressed to find any 22ga. in my area.
Most commercial buildings in my area use 26ga. occasionally 24ga.
I've seen thicker specialty profiles, but that is in Aluminum
