Hi
I’m building an interior staircase. I’m using 3-1/4″ x 3/4″ t&g flooring as stair treads on triple stringers and 3/4″ plywood “fillers” on cleats between the stringers. Flooring is to be nailed conventionally through the tongues using flooring nailer and/or finish nailer. When I get to the nosing I plan to screw the 3″ t&g nosing from underneath, through the plywood, and use glue to reinforce the connection, clamping the tongue of the last flooring piece horizontally to the groove of the bullnose.
Do I just schmear PL on the tongue and groove and the underside of the bullnose, clamp the joint horizontally, then put in the screws from underneath? Is there something unforseen here that I’m overlooking? Anybody else doing it this way? Is there something better than PL in this application? Seems like the PL would take up any irregularities and be just flexible enough.
Critique, please.

for this situ, I would use Gorillia glue and amke up each individual treead before placeng it, t&G piecs and edge
