   Kathi, your question begs for clarification. My elegant, is your distasteful.
   Light, dark, warm, cool, red, white, brown, beige, it's all in the specie and stain if any.
   Where do your tastes lie?

   Price is also a factor. Cheaper, is knottier/more varigated.

   *Kathi, we purchased our hardwood flooring from Launstein in Mason, MI. (Advertizes in FH, I think). This flooring differs from others in that it is 3/8" thick. It is easy to install; it comes in a variety of hardwoods.We installed the hard maple, finished it with three coats of poly. I made inlaid thresholds for the entrances to several rooms with the maple and some walnut we have. Edge-chamfering the edge abutting the hard-surface floor was easy to do with a router.From my point of view, this hardwood flooring looks far better than Pergo or other laminate-type copycats.

   Hi, I am looking into buying hard wood floor for my home. My question is what is a good brand and color of hard wood to buy? I know I want the real hard wood. What has been your experience with the wood? What is a nice elegant color, also?
