This isn’t a homebuilding tool but does anyone know what this wrench would have been used for? I believe it belonged to my grandfather who was a boilermaker in a Boston shipyard.

Erection Wrench
It's used for timber construction or by linemen for hanging cross arms. The pointed end is for aligning the holes in timbers so that a bolt can be inserted. These are still made by Klein.

Nut sizes
They're made for more nut sizes than I knew existed.
It is a spud wrench. Used by iron workers. The pointy end is used to line up bolt holes.
Correct it's a spud wrench. Used by ironworkers.
