Oooh, that came out looking wierd. Let me try resizing a little larger.
Just because you should, doesn't mean you can!
When I opened the smaller pic I thought "Oh sure, blame THAT shingling pattern on Sphere..."<g>
Good job resizing the pic to get rid of the zig-zaggy pixelation.
A classic look. Copper and cedar. Looks like a nicely weathered copper downspout on the original house. Does the house have cedar on the roof as well? Slate?
I've seen many of your previous posts, you do nice work. Do you do any of your own fabrication of copper downspouts/gutters, or do you just hang 'em?

Some of it's cedar, some terne standing seam and some copper standing seam.

Sometimes. In this case I bought the gutter, hangers, and downspout. I made the flashings, drip edge and gutter end caps and outlets. I've made a lot of copper cornice and custom gutter profiles, but for regular ogee and half round, I just buy it. I can only make 10' lengths but I can buy 25' sections premade.

Begs another question...do you buy the 25' lengths locally, or do you have them shipped.
I've not been able to find anything close to that length up here in CT.
Keep up the postings...I never tire of seeing nice Cu work.
Have you tried KAMCO, I think they're in Bethel and Danbury among other places.

I get it from a distributor near Cincinnati. It comes from Berger Bros in Feasterville (if I remember right ) , PA.Just because you should, doesn't mean you can!
I've used Berger in the past but was laways afraid of ordering LONG pieces of material...
Roof looks great. Not fond of the choice of copper though.Gotcha! It all looks great! You mean Duane actually does real work, rather than just talk about it and drive around the country?

Oh, that's what he does in his spare time......:) Nice work....I was watching men put on shingles on an addition not far from me......It's 20 degrees and snowing.....As I have said, it never ceases to amaze me the dedication of craftsmen and women who work in all kinds of weather.....

Kindling, He11, that's where he gets most of his building supplies. Waits till everyone else goes to lunch and then fills up the truck. It ain't workplace theft, its more a matter of being overzeolous about cleaning up the leftover scraps. When he starts posting pics of his half-cedar half-copper roof next spring, we'll know for sure! ;)

Did you use W valley flashing? The ones I made for this dump have worked great. No leaks at all.
You can use Bostich nails for the MAx by the way.
Did greencu make the valley flashing for you?
I had exactly 5 valleys also...one that led into a large cricket so I know exactly what you mean by ...ughhhhhh. Takes more time doing that than half the rest of the roof.
I don't know how anyonew does it without the small cordless circular saw.
Be well bro

Oh yeah, he makes all the flashings and valley parts. No on the w valley..we just don't do that. I lay a 1x4 in the crease and cut the shake to fit..makes a nice straight egde.Even Bosticth nails are scarce around here, except 2 and a halfs.Even tha POS Porter cable 6" saw is better than the old days, when I used a fullsize circle saw.If this ice ever melts, I'll be done with this one, mostly finishers and caps to do now.

sawcut reglet ?
Yeah, grinder with a diamond blade, actually. I don't like to flash that way, but we had to match the rest of the house.
Just because you should, doesn't mean you can!
So how do you normaly flash / counter flash on a job like that?
