Before installation of a HRV, I meet with the HVAC sub and plumber in the basement after framing. We discuss location of unit and provide for a drain pipe at that location which connects to the floor drain. Viewing all the obstacles on site prevents a wrong location for HRV and drain.

Does anyone know the proper way to dispose of the drip waste from an HRV? I'm looking for some method that complies with the UPC and UMC.

*That would be water condensed out of the air right?!? Pure non-contaminated water (give or take a little lint, mold, pollen, pet hair, etc.) right?!?Use it to water the plants.Filter it and use it to top up the aquarium.Or just pour it down the drain...
