I can’t think of any of my tools that I could let go of to buy groceries. Maybe I could sell the cat’ paw, I really don’t like using it anyway.

my boss could sell most of his because 90% of the tools I use on a daily basis are mine!!
*I'd consider selling the 15" hitachi mitre saw, too heavy, havn't used it much since I got the smaller dewalt, next would be RAS,should keep the rest.
*Seems to me that using the tools to build will bring in a lot more money than selling them.Ed.
*I got an old F*rd van out in the field I'd sell...but I don't think anyone would buy it.
*If I had a jumping Jack I'd sell it in a heartbeat. Shovels too. But I'll buy almost anything if it's shiny. Joe H
*My Bammer. Anybody want to buy it?
*I'll come look at that van if I'm ever out there JIm.:)jim
*A brand new set of proctors, tags never even taken off.
*I got an old Paslode "T nailer" I might sell...na, then I'd need another paperweight...
*all the tiwan cra/ that former employees have left at my shop, the come in with it, buy better tools and when the leave it seems to stay.
*Jim,What's a T-nailer? Are you talking about the Paslode Jurassic model?
*You know those novelty 'name' signs some people put out in front of their houses ?Jim's nailer can only be used to fasten the 'T's to those signs. And believe me, that funky looking hammer he carries couldn't even do that.b : )
*I think they might have been the forerunners of finish nailers, Mike. I bought it in the early 80's. I distinctly remember the sales guy telling me they hadn't perfected finish guns yet and the Paslode was the best t nailer available. The nails are small, maybe 16 gauge, and do indeed look like a "t". Instead of a round hole they leave a small rectangular one, which was industry standard at the time, except that danged thing misfired, and double fired, and otherwise acted temperamental every time I used it. Anyway, within a couple years I had my first Senco trim gun and I've never looked back - those are some damn fine guns, right there. I have to admit though, every time I pick up one of those Paslode Powermaster framing guns my heart skips a beat. Those things feel great in my hand.
*Jim,Gotta an old, old Bostich, 15 gauge, with No safety, shoots wicked little "T" nails as fast as you you pull the trigger.Ought ta be worth a quart of skim milk.......maybe......
*I've got an old Senco SN4 I could sell, a couple of Dewalt 14v drills that I would give away and two Skilsaw's that could make almost one whole saw as long as you didn't need the top handle or the table. Other than that I need everything else.Dave
*Jim did I read that right "my heart skips a beat" That is the main reason I gave up my Senco 325, that was a great gun, small light super for back out. Bought first Powermaster in 98 and never cursed it or looked back. Now I've got three of them, one for each hand the third for the laborer to reload for me as I frame with the other two. next you'll be gettin one of those funky yeller framing saws.;)Kieth C how much for the wall jacks? We're thinking of trimming back our crews and may need to get a nice set with the tags still intact.
*Jim, Make me an offer, but include shipping cost. I'd love to see them gone. That or they go to e-bay.
*Keith...I never had wall jacks....Why did yaa buy em....why are yaa sellin em?Near the stream,aj
*Yeah man, that Powermaster feels like a real nice tool. Are the nails hard to get though? Are they 30 degrees or some oddball thing like that?
*I just remembered I got a brand spankin new PC 25th aniversery editon shiny chrome plated 1/2 sheet pad sander in a fancy finger jointed oak case. I think I turned it on just to here it hum but i haven't actually sanded withit.thought the box might make a nice jewelry case for my honey-bunch but the PC logo is burned into the front about 1/16th deep, I'd hafta do some heavy dutysanding to get it off.Anybody out there still use one of these? make me an offer and I might throw in my almost new 1/4 sheet sander!!Mr. T. (owner of an orbital sander)
*I sold a bunch of Skil tools that got rebuilt while still on warrantee and good ridance.I gave away a post hole driller. I started wondering what in heck did I ever buy it for as soon as I got it home from that garage sale knowing that now I've got it I'll have to use that dirty sucker.I've got a pair of wall jacks too. Never used. Found a new crew just in time for wall raising. still in card board.
*I was right about shovels. Spent the afternoon looking for sewer. Found it, way down there where it should have been. 3' is about 2' too many. Think I'm gonna throw away all the shovels when this is done. Joe H
*now, piffen, your wall jacks are a hell of alot closer than keith's..i've been having withdrawal symptoms ever since i sold mine to a guy homesteading to colorado...les talk...email me....i love proctor wall jacks..hell, i'll trow in a delta sawbuck...rob susz didn't bite...
*Which 12 or 14 volt cordless drill should I buy. I was looking at Dewalt but some of the posts on this site have suggested poor quality and high price.
*Mike,I'll crawl up in the attic of the shop later this week to see what kind they are.
*Jim 30 degrees exactly. If you've got Senco clipped head nailers those nails will slide right into the Powermaster. You'll have to crack the long strips in half though.Kieth, You're in Ohio somewheres, if I remember correctly. I'll have to check further into our interest in your jacks. BTW why do you want to unload them? I'm guessing you don't do enough framing to have them an asset. I can't imagine not having mine.Jim
*Jim, NE Ohio, N. Canton exactly. Good salesman stopped by the job one day. Dropped the nails and left some trusslocs to try. Came back a few days later with proctors and said try these, if you like , pay, if not send back. We frame with 5 guys, who could see the value, but are young and stupid enough not to want to take the time. I put them in the shop, and they have sat there since. I know I paid for them. I frame between 12-20 houses a year of my own, the rest we do for a few other contractors. We trim, tile, siding, paint/stain my own too as time permits. Mine are Proctor brand. I've always wanted a Sawbuck though Mike.
*ok keith... my sawbuck and i'll throw in $200 and you pay the shipping at your end and i'll pay the shipping at my end.. unless jim & piffen get bent outta shape....
*Kieth let Mike have them I don't think we'll have the work for the jacks after all. Mike just a warning I don't bend I snap. And then you better watch out.:)Kieth I was just wondering did you try them? What we usually do is get as many jack lifty walls built and ready. Then we stand brace reset stand brace reset till all of them are up and then start framing again.jim
*Mike ... sounds good to me. Let me check my end shipping.
*jim...the ones i bot in '75.... went to colorado in '98... still there as far as i know....
*Where in Colorado maybe without he shipping we can make a deal.:)JIm
*I guess I would pawn my AutoHammer. The 100 freenails that came with it didn't last long at all.:)Greg
