I am putting Tennessee Field stone against a concrete block wall to a height of about four feet. Then, brick will be placed on top of stone to finish up the wall height.
My problem is “What is the right mason cement and and mixers for the stone part???” I know I should use “type S” but I cannot get a good answer on what else to add to the mortar and why..

For stone, I would suggest Type S with no additives.
