I want to know if it is par for the course for FHB to get to my mailbox a week after they show up on the newstands or is that just ’cause I live in Alaska. Or is it a plot by taunton to sell more magazines, as I have been tempted to buy it as soon as I see it.

It takes a while to mail out a quarter of a million magazines, so the in-home date is really a range. We try to have the 6 regular issues in home during the last couple of weeks of the odd months. So, most people should get the October/November issue at the end of September. We specifically ask newstand distributors to hold back the new issues until the beginning of the even months to avoid what you're experiencing. That works pretty well in the lower 48, not so reliably in Alaska and Canada.

*eight weeks after I finish reading the current issue.jim
*It's just nice to know you care - thanks for the response, Andy. (no, I'm not being sarcastic :) )
*Got my Kitchen/Bath issue today. Who cleans around those "Vessels" (funny looking sinks that sit on top of vanity) and how? Do you disconnect the p-trap and jack it up a bit to get down there? Joe H
*Joe, one of my colleagues, Roe Osborn, asked that same question in one of his web-reports from the Kitchen and Bath Show this past spring. Andy
*And the answer is? Does it involve i "The Maid?" Joe H
*I didn't say that he answered the question, Joe, just that he asked it. Andy
