Rheem/Ruud is built in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Trane has some large US facilities in Tyler, Texas and LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Goodman Mfg is located in Houston. And Carrier has plants in 10 states with corporate HQ in Farmington, Connecticut.

Although mfg. in the states, if you dig long enough, you will find Rheem is held by Paloma, a fine Japanese company!
The Japanese management part of it I like. I don't like stuff made in China or mexico.
I don't think those two words speak Quality yet.
Worked for them for 3 years as a rep, great mgt. team, great products. Rheem also makes the "GE" electric water heaters sold by Hopeless Depot!untill the circumstances change, my answer will remain the same...
