Can someone please tell me which code in general is enforced in Michigan? Also, do you know of an easier to read book on the code that’s based on the 1999 edition? Any suggestions appreciated. Bill

BOCA is the state code. Although a number of the cities that have their own building code enforcement departments use the UBC.

Hi Bill Neman.
I think the code itself is the easiest way of reading the code.
You can call BOCA at 708-799-2300.
I have the International One-and Two- Family Dwelling Code. I dont know of anything easier to read than the concise subject matter needed.
Hope this helps.
