Having never owned a nail gun, I’m putting together my tools for building projects like playsets for the kids, decking, screened in porch, etc., and basic furniture for the house.
Can anyone suggest which size nail/brad guns would be the most useful. I like what I’ve heard about the Senco FP25, that uses 5/8 to 2 1/8, 18 g. brads…is this sufficent for everything I want to do, or will I need a second gun?
Thanks for your time

Depends, do you feel the need to gun in every friction fastener you use, or only the high-volume jobs ? E.G. you can't reasonably build a deck using only 18ga brads.
*For clarification, while I don't plan to throw away my hammers, I would like to own a gun(s) that would cover the uses I listed. I realize the 18ga won't be enough for all I'd like to do, but I don't know what other sizes are best for these types of projects, and whether two guns could cover everything, or if I need three, four, or more. Thanks again.
*I think your minimum set is going to be 3 guns: 18ga, 15ga, and a framer (check your local bylaws to find out if you have to have a framer that shoots round-heads, or if the clip-heads are okay).
*PhilYou hit the nail on the head : ) thats almost exactly what I was going to write. I would however my add a 18ga stapler comes in handy also
*A stapler would be nice, a 16ga finish nailer too; but, you could go through a lot of wood on that list before you'd need either.
