I’m going to be installing radiant heat in a basement slab before the weather turns in these parts. I’ve done my homework and feel confident installing this as a DIY project, with the help of a plumber friend that has installed radiant before.
My questions is – which brand of radiant do you all recommend? Is one companies support better than an other, especially for a DIYer?

Find out which supply house in your area your plumber friend deals with. Many supply firms will understandably not sell retail direct to DIYr's, and often a particular line of manifolds, zone valves, coupling systems, boilers, etc has a distinct benefit, and service and support only available to pros. Rehau for example.
I believe that just about any major brand of PEX...Wirsbo, Mr. PEX, is so tightly quality controlled that you can't go wrong so, again, it comes down to local availability and service.
Good Luck.
