Ok, for a table saw, good side up to get a nice smooth edge. Face down for circular saw and jigsaw. Can’t get a smooth cut with a sawzall. Router depends on the bit.
But what about a miter saw? Particularly a slider? Half the blade is entering, half is exiting?
I’m sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.

For a slidesaw, good side up, although I can't figure out why. I have thought about this same question, for a slide or mitersaw. Seems to me that with a good blade it makes no difference. I routinely turn boards upside down for scarf cuts because my Milwaukee slide saw bevels to the left only.

I've always had the face side getting bit by the teeth first..........do you run a piece of tape on the face thats going to be showing??
If you aren't one of the one's I'm talking about, you shouldn't have any complaints....
GS up..and do a score pass first...drag the saw blade with the pull about a 1/16 or less deep..then plunge down and push back to safe mode.
