My father and I own our construction business. We do everthing, from footings to the finish trim. Most of our customers have us design their houses, additions, remodels, and so forth. We bought a simple CAD program from Wal-Mart for about 70 bucks a couple years ago. It has worked fine, but it is very basic. Ever trying to push the professional envelope a little higher, we’re looking for one with a little more oomph. I’m realizing that we don’t need a full blown CADD program, as they are a little pricy and you almost need a degree to run them. From what I can gather I need more of a architectural drawing program. I would still like to do the 3-D drawing, with the overlays of the electrical and plumbing. And one that provides a realistic picture of the finished product as well. So, if anyone could put me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Oh, also looking at the 300-500 dollar range. Thank you!
