   were the shingles cut out at the bottom to make the pattern?

   thanks everybody ,each of you provided  a shingle that matches .The home owner said he has two or three around somewhere so I'll take some with me and match them up.At least I know which supplier to go to now .

   The suppliers around here all carry a few brands each, so you go to different places to get different things.
