Seriously this is the most difficult product to install that i can remember. Product could be renamed "Tar baby in a roll". I usually use Owens Cornings product, so little did i know what i was in for with this stuff.
My roofing supply house is going to get a much less politically correct version of my opinion on Monday. Obviously roofers do use this product more than once in their lifetime; what i'm trying to figure out is whether they only use it in the dead of winter.
Oh well my last piece for this valley should be ready to pull from the chest freezer. If i take it and run up the ladder i might be able to install it before it attains the consistency of Vulkem caulking.

*yeah, but you're building character, Joe.
*Whose ??
*I had a similar problem one time. I kept the cut lenght and kept in the shade(extrmely hot day)till I was ready to use it. Took it on the roof and rolled it out, took the release paper off one side and laid it down. But by the time I started to work the other half, it had already got too warm and the release paper would not let go. So I got the bright idea to get the water hose on the roof and wet it down with the cool water, making sure I didn't get any on the open roof area. It worked great, although the home owner wondered what I was doing at first, till I explained it to her.
*joe,Watch out for that Grace ice and water shield, it's awful messy work if it gets too warm.
*joe,I haven't used Grace in 10 years or more because it was so difficult to install, and insanely slippery once actually on the roof.GAF WeatherWatch works well for me,but you still can't waste any time.Certainteed had a product that I liked even better but I can hardly ever find it here.good luck,Stephen
*Snap a line across the decking where the top of I/W will be installed. (or some Grace prods. have a green stripe on the sticky side; snap the line where you want the stripe to end up on the roof) Roll the out about a foot, position it, and stick it down. Pull the paper to the top so you are peeling the paper off, rolling the roll out, holding the roll on the chalk line, and pressing it down all at once. (its pretty easy as long as too much paper dont come off.) Anything goes, as for the valleys- good luck positioning it here. I saw a couple "new" things this last week at the suppliers office- I/W with a sandpaper like topside, cases of "roof primer" in aerosol cans, must be like undercoating for cars, I think it is for prepping wet or unsuitable decking for I/W
