I want to get some double honeycomb (Cellular) shades but have discovered a large number of manufactures, fabric types, and web sites to choose from. Does anybody have any experience with these. Are there brands that are worth the money or a rip off?
I would like to get decent quality with out spending a fortune.
The link is to show what I am talking about.

I purchased double honeycomb shades for all the windows in my house from American Blind and Wallpaper. However, my experience was that they use different factories and suppliers depending on the options you wanted. Customer service was little help. That said, I found all the blinds I've ordered from them to be acceptable and the prices reasonable. I did order two cellular shades from Smith and Hawkin. Prices were much more than American and the quality about the same.
I've ordered Hunter Douglas shades and another brand from selectblinds.com. They are about the same, maybe the H-D are a little nicer.
We have honeycomb blinds and like the honeycomb part; however, we have "top down, bottom up" mechanisms that I wouldn't get again. The strings have broken on a number of them and some of them don't stay level in the up position. Maybe we got cheap ones (they didn't seem so at the time...). Levelor.
Edit to add: Some of the blinds are "light blocking". That might be a consideration for you in direct sunlight locations as the normal blinds allow a fair amount of light through.
