Any solutions for this problem? A very large leaded bow window with maximum southern sun in getting a lot of condensation- so much that the sill is rotting.
The owner cleaned out and patched up some of the wood but is looking for a better solution before it’s to late to save the whole sill. Replacing the window is not an option.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The three most important factors in window condensation are the same as real estate -- location, location, and location.
Where are you located and is it interior or exterior condensation?
I am guessing that moisture is forming on the inside of the single pane glass.
There is too much humidity inside the house and the causes are Water underneath the house, Leaking walls or roof, tropical fish aquariums, Dryer not vented to the outside, Using the gas stove as a heater or boiling too much water.
Of course there are more reasons, just can't come up with all of them.
" causes are ..." new construction? It takes several years for poured foundations and slab to completely cure. Almost all consrtuction and finish materials used in a house will release moisture for the first year or so.
I'm assuming this leaded glass is only single pane and has little if any thermo protection. the easiest and cheapest route is to cover the inside of the window with 3M window wrap. We use it in Minnesota all the time. this is also assumming the outside of the window is colder than the inside. Use the double stick tape around the casing of the window and place the wrap and workout the wrinkles with a hair dryer.
Other solutions are a de-humidifier in the location or a ceiling fan to keep the air moving freely threw the area.
