I’ve got a teeny tiny master bath (5’x7.5′) down to the studs now, and was thinking about the window in the tub/shower area.
Right now it is a 24″x 48″ wide sliding to the side window, with privacy glass. The glass isn’t very private when it is open… to our neighbors yard 5′ away. The other bathroom window is worse, as it opens to our covered porch.
I was thinking about different options here. I was thinking about a window that angles out, or one that was more of a bumped out atrium. I also was interested in using glass block.
Any ideas or good products you’ve used and liked?

How about plantation shutters? Less $$ than replacing the window, air flow and better privacy.
Best to you and yours, Chris.
Some say I know too much? Can you ever?
I was thinking about that for the bedroom window that is on the same wall.Rebuilding my home in Cypress, CA

Next door neighbor had vritually the same situation.
I wrapped the original window framing with plastic sheeting.
Built up the framing just a bit with treated materials to accomodate the difference in finished window dimensions.
Wrapped that in plastic, tacked 1/4" foam designed for glass block expansion protection around the built up framing.
Mixed morter and set in 6x6 4" wavy glass block - 3 wide by 4 high. Don't forget the wire support.
Covered the outside with plastic for a couple of weeks to keep out any odd weather.
Continued inside with vinyl trim and sealed the trim and glass block with a white fungi repelent silicone caulk.
Removed the plastic outside, trimmed, painted, caulked and sealed the glass block with a latex modifide morter.
4 years later not a single problem can be found and we the neighbors nolonger have to watch him shower. Wavy glass block simply keep the deer guessing!
