Ok guys here I go again..thinking.. I was discussing this idea with an electrician friend and thought I would come here and throw it out for discussion. i was thinking of building a window insert to go on the inside of a single pane aluminum frame casement window. it is approx 45″ wide and 50″ high. 2 fixed lights on the side and the middle one opens. we dont use this window much so I was considering building a frame to fit inside the interior with a piece of glass to act as a “poor mans ” double pane window. now the questions, would it have any sound/insolation value, how about venting to prevent moisture damage would that be necessary if so how large and vent would it need. like I said guy just an idea so …be gentle
