question: The painter on my home scratched the glass window
pains with 100grit sandpaper. It is very milky, I do not want to replace the panes. Is there any way to remove the scratches. R Michael

Try Collgate(sp?) or Crest toothpaste. Sounds weird but it will remove minute scratches.
*I use spray Pledge on my glasses after I clean them with Windex (I'ma messy worker). It works well on the plastic lenses- whether or not it would do any good on your windows, I can't say . You might try it on just a corner.
*If the scratches aren't real deep call C.R Laurence Co. Inc. at (800) 421-6144 and tell them you want "C0301 Safelite=Z2631014 Cerium Oxide (for buffing)"It's a buffing compound I've used with some sucess to remove scratches from glass. I'd tell the story, but it involves almost setting the house on fire while steam bending oak stops and me racing out the door with a lit steam box, cursing loudly as the missus gives chase geticulating wildy with various cooking instruments...and I don't really like telling stories on myself like that.
