We are going to raise our house and I am concerned about windows breaking. I have heard that you should tape windows but I don’t know why or how to do this.

Hi Hobus
The reason you tape the windows is in case they break or shatter, the pieces don't fly all over the place and hurt someone.
Use common masking tape and make a grit that resembles grills in your windows and one criscross.
Due it just before you start to lift the house and remove as soon as the house is stable. Never leave tape on windows longer than required.
Good luck with your project.
Gabe
*HobusYou might also try opening any operable windows a little to relieve potential frame pressure. Big expanses that don't open are most at risk.-pm
*So, is this one just for Canucks, then?Eh?Sorry.
*RichJump right in, the window is supposed to be open. . . -pm
