welcome purple,
Im not quite sure what your looking for here but if you are replacing the old bigger window with a smaller one, frame and all, then you will have to reframe the opening to accommodate the new smaller window. Its nothing too difficult, just figure out what your rough opening needs to be, it usually says on the new window(if not just make sure you have a 1/2" all the way around). Then add a couple 2x4's(or whatever thickness your wall is) to shrink it down, plywood the outside, then instal the new window.
Then comes the pain in the butt, matching the exterior finish with whatever you have. Thne finish the inside.
Hope i helped, if not clarify what you are looking for, thanks
Matt
