My house has Andersen windows that are at least 20 years old. The windows are in good shape but the screens are not. In some cases the, the plastic, spring mounted pins are broken, causing the screens to not srtay in place. I have read that these plastic pins can be replaced. Are they worth replacing, or is there a better option? Thanks

Have you checked the Andersen web site? They are very good at making replacement parts available, and the price they post should tell you whether it's worth it or not.
Also, check with local window suppliers. They may have the repair parts in stock.
(Our 40-year-old Andersens don't use the plastic pins, so I have not experience with those.)
Window Screen Pins
Thanks for the response. I think it may be economical to fix the pins... but I was wondering if anynoe has a better solution for securing the screen in place (with the ability to remove them and put them back). Thanks
