we are finally ready to put up our window trim and have noticed that on 2 windows, the window frame/casing appears to be “sunken in the wall. The dry wall is not flush to the window frame. The variation is 0 -1/4”. WE are using Home Depot’s primed contractor bundle – I am guessing that it’s pine.
QUESTION = how do we get the frame and the wall flush so that there is not a gap????

Extension jambs. Available for certain windows in various sizes....or, rip them yourself from inexpensive 3/4" stock. You're building out the window jambs flush with the finished walls prior to installing casings.
