I recently took the vinyl siding off one part of my house because of damage.
under the siding was old wood siding which i stripped off and now i am down to the wood
I also took off the old window trim and the windows that are there are vinyl replacements that where installed flush with the old outer stop blocks.
when i took the old trim off i can see where the old window weights where but is now filled with foam.
my questions are when i use tyvek to wrap ,how do finish it to the windows, do i install trim over tyvek so they can later be wrapped with aluminum, is there any thing better that i can trim the windows with (keep in mind i have to reinstall vinyl to match existing).
I looked at all the articles but i dont find any that fit my situation because i have replacement windows already installed.
thanks,mike

Try to tape the edge of the Tyvek to the window frame, keeping the tape back to a line on the frame where it will be covered when you replace siding and trim. Use Tyvek tape or the red "sheathing tape", NOT DUCT TAPE. Be sure to clean (and, if necessary, paint) the surfaces first.
It's tedious to do, but if done right you can get a good long-term seal.
Tape
I agree with DanH about the tapeing the Tyvek to the window frame, but use the Tyvek flashing tape. Regular Tyvek tape is for tapeing edges of tyvek wrap to one another. The flashing tape will stick better to wood and provide the flashing detail you need.
Look at DuPonts web site for Tyvek for the proper installation order.
I suspect they didn't make flashing tape when I did it.
