in my garage for my soon to be new TS, (going to be the ts3650) I need to get power in the dead center of the garage. there are two outlets in the celing for the openers, maybe 6+ ft. away, one at the back wall maybe 10 ft. away, which is right next to the breaker panel. What are my options for getting power to the TS.
plastic conduit on ceiling with extension cord
plain extension cord
hardwire to outlets or breaker panel
is there anyway to go through the ceiling w/out ripping down all the plaster
Also I may or may not eventually rewire for 220V in the future

If I could start from scratch I would have a floor outlet under my table saw. The way it is I just got some #12 hard service cord and made an extension cord for it from a shop circuit. A pendant down from the ceiling would probably be in the way.
yeah, lemmie just cut out the floor and run a cord ;)
but in all seriousness im going to run it down a colum next to the saw

Chop a 25' 12/3 extension cord, like a Yellow Jacket and add a new end.
Keep the cord as short as possible, but use the cieling outlet. I've done this in many garages / shops.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

Wall outlet-20 amp? Use it.
Ceiling outlet-probably end up being a longer than 10 foot cord to keep it out of your way.A Great Place for Information, Comraderie, and a Sucker Punch.

Column.
I just converted my TS3612 to 240v. I went in and removed the cord from the on/off switch and used a 14g ext cord cut off with about 15' and plugged it into a ceiling recptacle. It is sweet. On 240 you do not have to worry about a few extra feet of cord for line loss/volt drop. I left it a little long in case I decided to move the saw.For those who have fought for it Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.
that's a good idea, but i really dont want to screw anything up.... mabey

The funny thing is I did shoot a 2" water pipe 22' under the garage floor for the spa and hit a 1 foot hole in the floor. It went right under my table saw. If really thought it would have worked when I started I would have taped a 1/2" conduit to it and cut a hole down to it for a floor outlet.
