   *Hey Ed - since your thread, I've been thinking and I remember seeing in either FHB or JLC a short piece with a photo of endgrain floor and the subject of the piece was "grout" made mostly from cork, so it could withstand the inevitable flexing as the blocks expand and contract. Are you aware of that stuff?

   OK! I'm on the run today, but promise I'll get to it within the next couple of days. And, oh boy, do I have pictures. Listen. After what we went through to do this floor, I'm considering framing them in gold! :)

   Hi, all!

   If anyone remembers - waaaay back when, about last "Alaska fall", that
   being September, we had many discussions about wood block flooring....
   Anyway, we finally DID IT! Oh, boy. What a job. It is absolutely
   beautiful, due in no small part to all the great advice I received
   from this board. SO. If there's any interest as to how we ended up
   doing it, I'd be happy to share the details on the board......
