The sill on my house has been damaged in a few areas by moisture due to some leaking gutters. The water problem has been solved. The sill has some soft areas, but it doesn’t go very deep, so it will not need to be replaced. However, I would like to put some sort of wood preservative and insecticide on. Can anyone recommend anything? The last time I looked for creosote, I was told it is no longer sold to the public, but was not able to find a suitable replacement.

Cuprinol green #10....
the nice thing about it is when you round up the usual suspects, you can identify which termites were the perps.....
they all got green mouths......
and you'll have green hands and green clothes...
no substitute for PT though... just doesn't get the penetration and retention that PT does
*Ditto Mike's comments .......Sherwin William's stores carry it if you have trouble finding it.
