Finishing up a third floor fire escape this week.
I need to treat the wood but it’s really up there in the air. I’d like to spray soemthing on the wood with a hand held sprayer and would really rather not back brush. I can get limited access below with a ladder to spray and of course can just climb above but to get up close enough to brush underneath means setting up my scaffolding again.
Can anybody recommed a good sealer that soaks in well, will provide pretty good coverage out of the sprayer, and won’t leave streaks all over the latex painted clap board siding. I’ll spray lightly to protect the house but still don’t want a colored sealer.

Ryan, Ryan, Ryan, what have you done boy?
Get a cheap poly and hang it from the area to be sprayed to protect the siding and do it after a long dry spell so that the presevative that you use will get sucked into the dry wood.
