I am about to begin construction on my front porch, want to give the 6×6 PT posts a little arts and crafts character, have 4 of them across the front, all at 8′, thinking of using a semi trans. stain (white wash look, any ideas on what material to wrap with?, entasis (fhb #136)?, glue to use?, 1/2 marine grade fir ply is $65/4×8 here Chicago burbs, the porch is set back from the street about 38′ and about 3’above grade, 26′ wide, 7′ deep, solid 1x cedar or PT?, does it need ventilation?, plan on back priming also? Just don't wrap them with aluminum coil stock ,the pressure treated wood will eat through it.
