I am in the market for a portable electric staple gun, mainly for uphostery. I repair furniture in-home. Any thoughts or experience?

I bought one for about $30 and it was nothing but a piece of c%@p I think it was an Arrow. When it wasn't jamming, it was driving the staples in 1/2 the way, or not at all. Maybe there some good ones out there; I'm guessing you have to pay maybe $50 or $100.
As long as you are asking for opinions, why not label your thread with an actual title, and maybe post in the tools folder... just a thought.
Also, check by Knots the Fine Wood Working magazine web site. Furniture might be more up their alley.

I think I had a Swingline electric, and it too was worthless. Much too weak. Get an air powered stapler and a bitty compressor...they don't use much air. Someone started a discussion here about a month ago about a very small lightweight compressor.
Do it right, or do it twice.
I second ECLID's statement. Electrics are junk.

I got the stanley electric, It is more worthless than the other two, the only reason why I will not ditch it is, "one who must be obeyed" bought it for xmas/ I want air.
I had a stanly electric. I gave it away after one use. Should have given it the old "float-test" would have gotten more satisfaction that way. Get a pneumatic. Thats what the upholsterers I know use.
I had a yellow one, or still do. If you want to staple THIN paper to something like a watermelon it will probably drive them all the way in.
Get an air compressor & a small stapler and you'll be happy.

Try Ebay, $20 will get a stapler if you're patient.
