The homeowners entertain a lot and wanted a kitchen big enough to accommodate multiple cooks and guests, but compact enough to be easy for one cook to use. There was a sunny music room behind the cooktop and we decided to bring in some more light that way–but keep cooking fumes and grease in the kitchen. Lots of moldings, fluted columns and varying door heights and sizes add character and class.
