For Fine Homebuilding readers, part 1 of a new public television series called 10 That Changed America will be particularly relevant. On April 5, the series will feature “10 Homes That Changed America.”
A press release from WTTW Chicago and PBS has this description:
“’10 Homes that Changed America’ highlights ten structures that transformed residential living, from grand dwellings like Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, to the pueblos of Taos, New Mexico, and the tenements of 19th century New York. Not only a primer in residential architecture, the episode offers a fascinating lesson in the history of American domestic life, as the evolving design of these homes over time reveals Americans’ changing relationship with nature, technology, and each other.”
Other parts of the series focus on buildings, parks, and towns. 10 That Changed America sounds like a series worth checking out.

It is very interesting, that homes actually can change the world. I think the most important one was owned by Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. However, numer 7 is really great as well!
