At Lowes, they are clearing out the Delta-branded 10″ 40 tooth and 60 tooth 10″ saw blades.
Now, normally I’d agree that Lowes doesn’t really sell ANY good blades, but these Delta’s are actually rebranded Dewalt 76 series blades that are made in the UK.
The Dewalt 76 series blades are no longer marketed and now they are Delta blades, and they were sold at Lowes for $42-50 – great deal really considering that they sold for $70 or so as Dewalt blades.
But they are clearing them out for $19 and $25 now – my Lowes did not have them marked that low, but they rang up at those prices.
These blades are similar in quality to the older Dewalt 40 and 60 series woodworking blades which were of a very high C4 carbide quality with huge teeth.
No need to point out that all Dewalt yellow rimmed blades are total Crapola.
Helluva deal on these – stock up. This should be national – I heard of it on a web deal forum.

Thanks for the tip off.
I was just in there last night but might go back over the weekend to check it out.
We do built in storage units often on site and good blades make good cuts(duh).
And yeah, them yeller painted blades are #@%#.
Even if they're not marked - do a price scan to see if they're the lower prices.JT
was there yesterday.they had no Delta blades, so I ended up buying a B and D"firestorm" 10"x 60t on closeout for $17.Probably not the greatest , but on a chop saw will be fine for a while...Better than $80 for some no name stuff....And much better than the crappo blade that came with the saw...

I've had one of those BD blades - it'll cut ok for a few feet of crown and than be a pc. of #### soon enough. It's worth stopping by any other Lowes for these blades - they are very high quality and would be good values at $65 much less $20.JT
I found a 60tooth Irwin with 2 40 tooth FREE when you buy the 60T ..on the table for 19.98
Too good to be true you ask?
Yep..the 60T was not flat..cut like a dado blade I tell ya..the Azek left plastic at 6oclock on one side and 12oclock on the other..so I took it back, but kept the 40t blades..cuz they were FREE.
Guy says " wheres the other blades"
Me: " I kept them, they are free when I bought this POS"
Him: "I gotta call someone"
Me: "Ok, whatever..new blade or my 20 bucks, I don't care"
Him: " Sure, lets bust open a new pack and snag the 60t blade"
Off to the tool crib and none to be found, so guy on computer says all out, the other store 5 miles away has 9 in stock..
I says I gotta work, not be chasing a saw blade down..so they gave me my 20 bucks in cash..and I have two free 40t blades.
I didn't fire either up yet, they probably suck as bad as the 60t did.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

don't worry about them, those are the ones i took back. they run real straight but must be about 8oz out of balance. hang on to your chopsaw it will vibrate a little. larryif a man speaks in the forest, and there's not a woman to hear him,is he still wrong?
Probably...LOLSpheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

I picked up a 12" erwin blade for cutting a bunch of concrete covered 2x6's to save my normal framing blade from the ####. The blade kicked out chunks of wood like I've never seen before and left a cut tht looked like a chainsaw. About 100 cuts later and an entire tooth broke off and it started cutting like a normal blade!

I have had similar problems with the larger Irwin blades yet find the 7 1/4" Marathon blade to be the sweetest cutting blade for the money in skil saws.

I don't like Irwin Marathon 7-1/4" blades. I used them for a while, but switched over to Freud Diablo. IMO they cut cleaner and longer. Not just in finish work either (though the Diablo framer cuts better than most 40 tooth finish blades). The Diablo is better at cutting through nails, if you have to. Marathons loose teeth easier in demo work.
Next time I need some I will give those a try . Thanks for the input.

Let me know if you think I'm full-o-crayap.I'm still using Irwin pullsaws and I think several of you have been pushing Silky...I'll have to try those sometime.
Might be awhile, I have a stack of Irwin's I haven't touched and my saw has been gathering dust lately.

Gotta love the Freud Diablo for the money. The 10" 24t ripping blade is only $27 so it's hard to even justify having it sharpened unless it turns out to have a disk that's much straighter than normal.
