I intend to install a Brazilian Cherry Hardwood floor on a slab. The millimeter dimensions are 17 x 115 ( 11/16 x 4 1/2 inches) Will a 3/4 inch Bostitch pneumatic flooring cleat nailer work to install the 11/16 inch dimension to 3/4 inch plywood subfloor applied over roofing felt and plastic sheeting for moisture protection. Also what cleat length would you recommend? Bostitch also offers a pneumatic Hardwood Floor stapler which is adjustable to different thicknesses of flooring and tongue positions. However, Brazilian Cherry is over twice as hard as American oak – I am concerned that staples won’t penetrate very well – also what length staple? Any suggestions welcome!
