The truss company I work for is looking at trying out some steel trusses. They’re assembled with special self-tapping screws. We’re wondering about what kind of screw guns to use.
We thought about cordless drills, but were afraid they wouldn’t hold up to 8 hours of hard use. Also not sure the battery chargers would keep up.
Corded drills would obviously keep going, but don’t have a clutch to keep the user from over-driving the screws.
So a combo of a 110V drill with a clutch seems like the best idea, but we’ve never heard of one. Do they exist ? Anyone have any other suggestions ?
