Does anyone know of a 1/4″ crown air stapler that shoots 2″ leg staples? I found 4 boxes of ss 1/4″ x 2″ staples on a shelf at my local lumber yard. The manager knows of no gun that shoots them but, upon checking the record, he found that they sold one box 3 years ago. Since these were boxes of 5000 selling for $99.95 per, I would have to wonder why anyone ordered them in the first place. I’ve never heard of a gun that size, but I’ve been retired for a while and and don’t keep up with new stuff the way I used to.I’m just curious.
Thanks, Chris

are you sure they are not for a floor nailer
Danno, I don't know. I've never had much to do with hardwood floors but always thought that they were nailed with the collated cut nails in a hammer actuated device, some times air assisted. `Also, would ss be strictly necessary?
Chris
Well I don't know either. I remember getting SS T-shaped nails for a mahogany floor we did. That time we had to rent the T shaped nailer, but I was thinking that usually we get a stapler for the hardwood floors and I was thinking maybe those staples were for an application like that mahogany floor
