Will be putting a new waterline to the house from city waterline at the street 120feet.
Already bought the 3/4″ plastic pipe but now am wondering about any benefits using a 1″ pipe instead. Not sure of #s on pressure flow from city line but believe the location of the house is towards the end of the pipeline.
Would going with the 1″ provide any noticeable improvement after traveling through the various valves along the way to inside the house?

What size is the service line from the corporation at the main to the curb stop (city should install at least to curb line - right?) I would match that size - but I ain't no plumber.
Local DPW should be able to tell you the mains water pressure.
If you're worried about not enough pressure you should be able to take care of that with a booster pump just inside the basment.
There are codes that govern this. There is no way anyone here can give you a correct answer without knowing a number of other factors. If they think they can they show their ignorance. Did you check to see if you need a permit to do this? If you do they should be able to help you find a code book for your area. Of go to the library and look for one there.
Thanks guys. No permit required, I already have the 3/4" pipe and sleeved it inside a 2 1/4" plastic pipe they use to run the fiber optics lines underground in. 3/4" is standard thru town and minimum. Don't know the size of the main feed since Im working down here in okieland for another couple months to beat the NE ohio winter weather. Im going to put it in this spring/summer and was just fishing for data. Id go with the one inch if there was any logical benefit at all. Opinions welcome. Thanks again.

Bigger is always better. More water, better pressure. I used 1 and 1/4.
