3/4″ Rough-In Faucet (1/2″ supply)

I am performing a small bathroom renovation.  The client has purchased a shower control assemby with 3/4″ connections but the supply is 1/2″.  I was going to use a 3/4 to 1/2 reducer at the rough-in assembly.  This should be ok?

    Maybe--it depends on why the shower control is equipped with 3/4" connections. Is this a whole-body shower that has multiple heads? Another factor is how much water pressure is available thru the 1/2" lines.
