What the heck am I doing wrong? (What the heck am I doing period is a legitimate question too). Anyway, I’m trying to wire a series of four recessed lights over a porch using two 3-way switches. The fixtures are between switches with power to the first switch and the second switch at the end of the run. I have the red as a traveler and the black as the other. The white is running hot to each fixture. When I turn on the power the lights are very dim. An electrician “friend” told me that I need to add a fourth wire as a traveler to complete the circuit. ‘Sup with that? Is he right? Or is there a way to do this with the 14/3 I’m using?
Any help that you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you – David
