I have a 34 degree clipped head nailer. I don’t see the 34 degree nails anywhere but plenty of 33 degree nails. Are they compatible? Thanks for any help.

Of course not.
The 33º nails have points ground into a 33º pyramid and likewise for the 34º nails. They have different purposes. The 33º nails are designed for roofs at less than a 4-in-12 slope whereas the 34 degree nails are reserved for steeper roofs.
Don't ask me why but I think it has something to do with penetration, moisture resistance and avoidance of slippage which can be very aggravating.

I thought the difference was for 15# vs 30# paper. Or does it have something to do with ice & water membrane? I don't do enough roofs to keep it straight.

Hey that's really neat that you learned to cut 'n paste. But obviously you don't belong here ... real contractors don't stop to read the instructions.
Ok, I guess we're jerking your chain cuz the question was a bit ... dumb? The difference in 33* and 34* is not enough to worry about. There's more slop than that between the nail and the magazine. Usually the box of nails will list the brand and model nailers that they will fit.

CJ, pardon the guys--they must've spent too much time at the Tavern tonite LOL.
In answer to your question, 30-, 33-, and 34- degree clipped head nails will all interchange. As someone else mentioned, check the box; it should say what guns the nails will fit.Jason Pharez Construction

No, actually, when I deck a roof I use plywood. Seems like a lot of work to deck a roof with strips of nails.
And I used to know a girl like you describe, back in high school.

When somebody yanks your chain, the gracious thing to do is . . .
laugh.
You'll get your turn to yank a chain or two, don't worry.

Most framing nailers will work within 2° either way of the stated angle. I have a framing nailer that uses 22° , manual says any nail collation from 20 to 24°.Ask manufacturer or try a clip.
