Does anyone have personal experience or can direct me to any demographic studies on who buys these slapped up osb and vinyl boxes at >$300K (Seattle area, about $50K off the top is for school impact fees, permits, mandated adjacent road improvements, etc.)?
There must be plenty of buyers as the 10AC parcel 2 block from my house is going to get 60 houses built on it (and I could have bought it for $12K in 1971, ain’t hindsight wonderful)! Only open area is county mandated storm retention pond and playground.
Are these the slums of the future? Told the wife we could make an easy mil by building 30 houses in the back yard, she just looked at me really strange.
