Looking for a reasonably cheap 3-6 x 6-8 exterior door slab. Nobody seems to be able to get or make one around here for an acceptable price. It’ll be temporary until this summer, when I can build a “real” front door. Can anyone suggest a decent solution?

If you just need a cheap temporary exterior door for a half year go to depot/lowes for a hundred dollar metal utility is the easy way.

frame it in for a 3'0", then remove door and framing when you're ready. You can re-use the door elsewhere.
